Taking Care of Yourself

Lately, I’ve been taking my well-being for granted. It is a bit contradictory since all my message is about living with purpose.

With all the deadlines and workload, I thought: “It’s okay, when it’s all over, I’ll get back to my normal routine.” But it’s been weeks and, I feel my body and energy level change a lot now. I get (very) easily upset and feel so exhausted all the time. And it’s like a vicious cycle because then I become even more stressed out and tired. I’ve been doing all the wrong choices possible: no sleep, shovelling junkfood in my mouth every day, no water, no exercising, no socializing, no breaktime. When I look at myself in a mirror: My god, I’m turning into a caveman.

I need to get my shit together, and go back to my healthier lifestyle. We need to take care of ourselves so we can do more great work and feel happy and mindful. It’s the key to design our lives with intention and purpose.

To me, living mindfully means:
– being authentic
– respecting our bodies, ourselves and others
– following what ignites our heart
– making conscious decisions about what we consume, eat, drink, buy
– and more of course

Comment below, what does living mindfully means to you?

Great post! I remember those university days! I think people often wait for a certain time when they will overhaul their lives, like New Years! I think living mindfully means keep your head out of the future and past and taking in your current state of being i.e. be good to yourself now, don’t just plan to be good to your future self! 🙂
