So, I was having my midterms for the past 3 weeks. As my anxiety grew a little more each day, I felt physically ill in the morning. It’s more than annoying because no medication or sleep can help me. I even work out during the week so I didn’t know what to do. Luckily a few weeks ago, I thought I would organize a small trip to Mount St-Hilaire with a friend.
We went hiking all day long on the mount. It was physically exhausting, but so worth it. I was weirdly surprised by the silence. The only thing we could hear was the wind in the trees. It’s been a long time I felt so calm and relaxed. Working out in an environment like this is probably the best medication against anxiety and stress. It was also a good bonding time with my friend.
The scenery was so beautiful! Even if it’s probably the 5th or 6th times I am hiking there, I still am in awe. How can I not? It’s like wonderland but in fall.
At the summit, this was our reward!
