Kyoto: Traditional Japanese Cuisine

Last Friday night, I went to a Japanese restaurant with my friend since we were craving for sushi. Kyoto is one of my favorite place to eat. Their ingredients are so fresh and their sushi are deliciously made! We enjoyed our evening in a cozy ambiance listening to Ray Charles’s Hit The Road Jack…and don’t you come back no more, no more, no more, no more! πŸ˜› I really liked how they decorated the restaurant and the jazzy music.

My friend loves hosomaki sushi with avocado. She also chose the Kara-age maki (fried chicken, lettuce, cucumber and sauce) and the California Deluxe (salmon, red tuna, crab stick, avocado, cucumber, masago and omelet).

I chose the New York maki (tempura shrimp, crab stick, lettuce, cucumber, avocado and spicy sauce) and the Kyoto maki (smoked salmon, crab stick, cucumber, cheese and sauce). You can never go wrong with shrimp tempura. πŸ˜‰ Looking at these pictures make me so hungry!
